As an SEMH Teacher, you will:

• Deliver creative, differentiated lessons that meet the individual learning needs of pupils with SEMH challenges.
• Foster a nurturing, structured, and supportive classroom environment that encourages emotional regulation and academic success.
• Collaborate with teaching assistants, SENCOs, and pastoral teams to implement individual education and behaviour support plans.
• Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils to promote engagement, resilience, and self-confidence.
• Monitor progress, assess outcomes, and adapt teaching approaches to support continuous improvement.

Requirements for the SEMH Teacher role:

• UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching pupils with SEMH, SEND, or behavioural difficulties (preferred).
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• A compassionate, patient, and reflective approach to teaching.
• An Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
• A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any employment gaps.
